McChord Jacket

The McChord jacket is named after the U.S. Air Force base located in Pierce County, Washington, in the Pacific Northwest. This jacket is a new version of the classic MA-1 bomber jacket, which was designed for the Air Force in the mid-1950s. Made of high-quality nylon, the zippered jacket effectively protected pilots in cold conditions. The McChord jacket retains the original features of the MA-1, such as the durable nylon fabric, warm insulation, and classic metal zippers. However, the McChord takes the bomber jacket to a new level with stylish accents, a modern heathered lining, and technical insulation. The jacket uses Sustans® insulation, which is made from renewable Dupont™/Sorona® fibers. Sustans® insulation contains 37% renewable fibers, and its production process uses 30% less energy compared to standard insulation materials.
