Sustainability at RESORI

RESORI is an online store owned by Futucon Ltd Oy that manufactures custom apparel and textiles for its customers' brands. Because our products carry our customers' names, sustainability is not an optional extra for us, but a fundamental requirement of our operations. We demand the same principles from our partner factories around the world as we do from our Finnish and European suppliers.

Safe materials

All materials and products we use must meet the requirements of EU legislation:

  • Materials meet the requirements of the EU REACH regulation, including restrictions on harmful substances in textiles such as azo dyes, formaldehyde, and heavy metals.
  • Our products meet the requirements of the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR, EU 2023/988), and we ensure product traceability and technical documentation throughout the supply chain.
  • We require documentation from our suppliers and partner factories regarding the compliance of their materials.
  • We favor tested and certified materials, and we provide our customers with information on the materials used in products upon request.

Ethical production

We have our products manufactured at carefully selected partner factories. We require all our production partners to comply with:

  • The International Labour Organization's (ILO) core labor principles, including an absolute ban on child labor and forced labor.
  • Safe and appropriate working conditions and compliance with local labor laws.
  • Non-discrimination and fair treatment of employees.
  • Transparency and traceability: we know where our products are manufactured.

These same principles also apply to our Finnish and European suppliers, through whom we procure the finished textiles used for printing and embroidery.

Packaging and the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR)

Futucon Ltd Oy complies with the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (EU) 2024/1262 (PPWR), which applies from August 12, 2026. In practice, this means, among other things, the following:

  • We size our shipping packages according to the products so that the empty space in the packaging remains within the limits required by the regulation (a maximum of 40% for e-commerce packaging, unless technically unavoidable).
  • We use recyclable packaging materials and minimize the weight and volume of packaging to what is necessary for the protection of the product.
  • Our packaging materials do not contain harmful substances restricted by the regulation, and we require documentation of compliance from our packaging suppliers.
  • We have registered in accordance with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for packaging and report the packaging placed on the market as required by law.

Sustainable choices

A high-quality, well-designed product is a sustainable choice in itself: it stands the test of use and time. We help our customers choose materials and printing methods suitable for the intended use so that the end result serves them for a long time.
