Engraving & Laser Marking
In engraving and laser marking the design is created by removing material from the surface – which makes the marking completely permanent. It never wears, fades or peels. The technique suits hard surfaces and materials that cannot be printed or embroidered.
When to choose engraving or laser?
- Drink bottles and thermal mugs (stainless steel)
- Pens, keyrings and tools
- Leather and faux-leather products: wallets, bags, badges
- Wooden products: cutting boards, awards, corporate gifts
- Glass and metal corporate gifts
- Technical textiles: laser etching also works on e.g. softshell surfaces
Strengths
- Completely permanent – the marking is part of the product, not on top of it
- A refined, subtle look – on metal the engraving shows as a tonal difference, on wood and leather as a burnt finish
- Precise results – even thin lines and small text reproduce sharply
- No setup costs for screens or moulds
Good to know
- Engraving is always single-colour: the design appears in the material's own tone. Multicolour logos are simplified into line art – we can help with this.
- Supply your logo as vector artwork (PDF, AI, EPS) for the best result.
- Also suits small runs and personalisation (e.g. names on products).
